First and foremost I would like to wish you and your family a Happy and safe 4th of July. It is a time to reflect and give thanks to all the brave men and women who have served and are serving this great country! Who have in some cases give the ultimate sacrifice so that we as a nation can continue to prosper, lead, and enjoy the great privileges and freedoms that we have.
As a result of our forefathers efforts in designing and building our democracy we have the privilege of choice. We get to choose where we want to live, how we want to live, where we go to work, the kind of work we want to do or not do. We have the choice and freedom to do an enormous amount of things in this country. Very few if any other country can claim to have the same choices or freedoms that we get to enjoy.
We very often take the privileges for grant it. Which is not hard to do because once you become accustomed to something on a continuous basis you then become numb to its existence. You know and expect that it will always be there. So as we get ready this morning to prepare for our parades, BBQ’s, swimming, adult beverages , and our usual 4th traditions please keep in mind all those folks that have come before us and are currently serving us in protecting these great choices and freedoms we enjoy! These privileges and freedoms are not guaranteed and can be easily lost if we become numb to their existence.
This is you’re Independence Day and although we recognize and celebrate it today we enjoy it’s meaning another 364 days a year!
I was recently exposed to George Zalucki’s Profile Of A Champion CD. Prior to listening to it I had never heard of Mr. Zalucki but I have to admit I don’t know why. You see I tend to enjoy listening to and reading self help and motivational books and tapes from experts like Tony Robbins, John Maxwell, Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, and Napoleon Hill to name a few. In my honest opinion I believe George Zalucki is right up there with the best of them and maybe even better.
His words and thoughts seem to emanate from my own experiences and thoughts. It was if he had studied me for the last 20 years and then created this CD. His words seem to resound with me in a manner I’m not sure I can explain. Maybe the reason for his information hitting home so well is because I was at a point in my life to receive the information. I’ve always heard “that when the student is ready the teacher will appear”. You know maybe there is something to that saying.

Ok Ok I admit it I’m a network marketer! There I said it!
You see not too long ago I would have been hard pressed to openly admit I was a network marketer. You’re probably thinking that is pretty dumb “how are you going to grow your business if you don’t admit what you do”. Well, I love the primary company I’m with. I love the product and the leadership but telling someone I was an MLM’er was tough for me. I know a lot of people have this same affliction; they just might not admit it.
I had a problem. It was a mental one. No I’m not crazy or anything like that but I had a problem saying I was a network marketer because I was afraid of what someone would think! I was worried no one would take the business serious because they would think it was one of those pyramid schemes. Well this is a serious business but it was not going to become one for me until I fixed my thinking! PERIOD!
A funny thing has happened. Not only have I really learned how awesome this business is and how much it can positively change your life but I also learned that more than anything else it is a “SELF IMPROVEMENT” business.
When you are surrounded by highly motivated, supportive, creative and positive people you cannot help but to be inspired yourself. In my primary company it seems everyone is willing to give you a helping hand, even when there is no direct advantage for them doing so. Someone is always recommending a great book to read or providing daily quotes for motivation and self improvement. It truly amazes me how uplifting these folks are.
You see I have found that network marketing is way more than a cool way to start your own business on a small budget. It’s a proof positive way for self improvement. To me this is the hidden gem in this business industry. Who doesn’t like improving themselves and/or helping others do the same. If you haven’t considered network marketing as an income source then maybe you should consider it for the hidden gem that it is: SELF IMPROVEMENT!
I’m currently reading Mark Yarnell’s book “Your First Year In Network Marketing”. I don’t care if you are a seasoned networker or just starting in the business I think this book will give you a great perspective and realistic expectations of this industry. He couples real world experiences of folks in the business with the topic he is discussing!
When I got into network marketing I did not have any illusions of a get rich quick business. I knew it would take a lot of hard work and discipline. But Mark gives you the goods on what it really takes to make $100,000 a month in this business. This is a real world no nonsense look at what I believe to be the best industry going.
So do yourself a favor and pickup this book. I would highly recommend you provide it to or recommend it to your team members as well! This could be the one thing that elevates yourself or team to new heights!
